--I’M JUST A SHOUT AWAY

…It’s Monday, a new week, and I’m feeling a tad week myself, trying to muster up the energy to go for a run.

…Songs I’ve had stuck in my head lately are these:

“East Like Sunday Morning,” Lionel Richie
“Gone”,” Dirks Bently
“Dirt Room,” Blue October
“La Vie Boheme,” Rent
“You and Me Against the World,” Hellen Reddy
(Sadly) “Mr. Roboto,” Styx
“You Don’t Have To Be Lonely Tonight,” Blake Shelton
(Gladly) “Tangled Up in Blue,” Dylan/God

…Things I like to start off a new week are:

“The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.” Thomas Szasz

“The deepest principle of human nature is the craving to be appreciated.”  William James

“Love isn’t a state of perfect caring.  It is an active noun like struggle.  To love that person is to strive to accept them exactly the way they are, right here, right now.”  Fred Rodgers
“Without music, life would be a mistake.” - Friedrich Nietzsche

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.” Albert Einstein

“There is only one plot—things are not what they seem.” Jim Thompson

“When you’re going through hell, keep going.” Winston Churchill

“Discovery consists in seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.”  Albert von Szent-Gyorgyi

“Whether they be old or young, rich or poor, high or low, ignorant or learned, every individual is seen to be strongly actuated by a desire to be seen, heard, talked of, approved, and respected.”  John Adams

“If you're never scared or embarrassed or hurt, it means you never take any chances.”  Julia Sorel

"What does not destroy me, makes me stronger.” Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

“Second thoughts are always wiser." Euripides
